1. The basic idea
Near works when people can trust what they see, who they meet, and where they are going. Use Near in a way that makes offline plans safer, clearer, and easier for everyone involved.
If your behavior makes people feel unsafe, misled, pressured, harassed, or tricked, it does not belong on Near.
2. Show up responsibly
- Only join plans you genuinely intend to attend.
- Cancel or leave a lobby if you can no longer make it.
- Respect the host's time, venue rules, capacity, and event expectations.
- Repeated ghosting, fake participation, or disruptive behavior may affect your Aura score or account access.
3. Be real
Near is for real people. Do not impersonate someone else, use fake identity details, create misleading profiles, or pretend to represent a brand, venue, community, or host without permission.
Verification, trust indicators, and Aura scores exist to help the community make better decisions. Do not try to manipulate them.
4. Respect others
- Do not harass, threaten, stalk, bully, shame, or intimidate others.
- Do not use hateful, discriminatory, sexually aggressive, or degrading behavior.
- Do not pressure people to meet, share location, share contact details, drink, spend money, or stay at an event.
- Do not photograph, record, or share someone without their consent.
- Respect boundaries. If someone says no, drops out, leaves, or reports discomfort, stop.
5. Host responsibly
If you create or host a plan, event, route, venue listing, or community activity, make it accurate and safe.
- Use clear titles, locations, timing, capacity, cost, and expectations.
- Do not create fake, bait, unsafe, illegal, or misleading events.
- Do not change important details without informing participants.
- Do not use Near to lure people into scams, spam, aggressive promotions, or unsafe situations.
6. Safety comes first
Use good judgment when meeting people offline. Meet in public places when possible, tell someone you trust where you are going, and use Near's safety tools when needed.
7. Zero tolerance
- Illegal activity or events designed to enable illegal activity.
- Harassment, threats, hate, discrimination, sexual exploitation, or violence.
- Scams, fraud, phishing, fake giveaways, or misleading promotions.
- Spam, bot activity, scraping, fake engagement, or platform manipulation.
- Sharing private information without permission.
- Weapons, dangerous behavior, or instructions that create real-world harm.
- Content or activity involving minors in unsafe, exploitative, or inappropriate ways.
8. Content standards
Profiles, event descriptions, photos, messages, reports, and community posts must be truthful, respectful, and safe. We may remove content that violates these guidelines, infringes rights, misleads users, or creates risk.
9. Reporting
You can report users, events, lobbies, messages, or behavior that violates these guidelines. Reports help us review issues, remove harmful content, restrict accounts, and improve safety systems.
When reporting, include enough context for us to understand what happened. False or abusive reporting may itself lead to enforcement action.
10. Enforcement
Depending on the issue, WECREO LABS PRIVATE LIMITED may remove content, reduce visibility, adjust trust indicators, limit features, suspend accounts, ban users, or take other action needed to protect the community.
Serious safety risks, illegal activity, harassment, impersonation, fraud, or repeated violations can result in immediate removal from Near.
