The rules for using Near.

Near helps people discover what is happening around them, join live local experiences, and build trusted offline communities. These terms explain what you can expect from us and what we expect from you.

1. Acceptance

These Terms of Service apply to Near, including our mobile apps, website, waitlist, contact forms, event discovery features, safety features, and related services operated by WECREO LABS PRIVATE LIMITED.

By accessing or using Near, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use Near.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Near. By creating an account or using the service, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

3. What Near does

Near is a real-time social discovery platform. It helps users discover nearby plans, join live event lobbies, coordinate with other users, host local experiences, and build offline communities.

Near does not guarantee that any event, user, venue, host, route, community, or experience will be available, safe, accurate, suitable, or meet your expectations. Use judgment when deciding whether to attend or host something offline.

4. Your account

  • You are responsible for all activity under your account.
  • You must keep your login details secure.
  • You may not impersonate another person or create misleading profiles.
  • You may not sell, transfer, or share your account without our permission.
  • We may require phone, email, identity, or trust-related verification to keep Near safe.

5. Community conduct

You must follow our Community Guidelines. At a high level, you agree not to:

  • Harass, threaten, abuse, stalk, discriminate against, or harm another person.
  • Create fake, misleading, unsafe, illegal, or spam events.
  • Use Near to scam, defraud, impersonate, or manipulate users.
  • Scrape, reverse engineer, overload, interfere with, or misuse the service.
  • Use Near for commercial solicitation, promotions, or brand activity unless the feature or account type allows it.

We may remove content, limit features, lower trust indicators, suspend accounts, or ban users who violate these terms or our community standards.

6. Your content

You may create or upload profile information, photos, event details, messages, reports, community content, and other material through Near. You are responsible for the content you provide and must have the rights needed to share it.

You give WECREO LABS PRIVATE LIMITED a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, modify, and use your content only as needed to operate, improve, promote, secure, and support Near.

We may remove or restrict content that violates these terms, creates risk, infringes rights, or harms the Near community.

7. Safety

Near includes trust and safety features such as verification, reports, moderation, trusted-contact flows, SOS-related tools, and Aura/trust indicators. These tools support safety but do not replace personal judgment or emergency services.

You are responsible for deciding whether to meet someone, attend an event, share your location, host a plan, or participate in an offline experience.

8. Location-based features

Near uses location to show nearby plans, maps, event lobbies, routes, venues, and safety features. Some functionality may not work if location permissions are disabled.

You are responsible for using location-based features carefully and for respecting the privacy and safety of others.

9. Brands, venues, and communities

Near may offer tools for brands, venues, creators, groups, or communities. If you use those tools, you must provide accurate information, follow applicable laws, honor any commitments you make to users, and avoid misleading promotions.

We may approve, reject, remove, or limit business or community activity at our discretion if it creates risk or harms the user experience.

10. Availability and changes

Near may change over time. We may add, remove, test, pause, or change features, event formats, trust systems, safety tools, availability, cities, or account types at any time.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

11. Suspension and termination

You may stop using Near at any time and may request account deletion through the methods described in our Privacy Policy and Account Deletion page.

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access if we believe you violated these terms, created risk, harmed users, misused the service, or exposed WECREO LABS PRIVATE LIMITED or others to legal or safety issues.

12. Disclaimers and liability

Near is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, WECREO LABS PRIVATE LIMITED disclaims warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

We are not responsible for the actions, content, events, conduct, venues, statements, or offline behavior of users or third parties. You use Near and participate in offline experiences at your own discretion and risk.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, WECREO LABS PRIVATE LIMITED will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses arising from your use of Near.

13. Legal terms

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining parts will continue to apply. Our failure to enforce a provision does not mean we waive our right to enforce it later.

These terms do not create any partnership, employment, agency, or joint venture relationship between you and WECREO LABS PRIVATE LIMITED.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Near evolves, as we add features, or as legal and platform requirements change. The updated version will be posted on this page. Continued use of Near after changes means you accept the updated terms.
